The band Thievery Corporation will perform on Wednesday, February 15, 9 pm, at Coliseu dos Recreios, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. It will present its eighth album, The Temple of I and I.
According to a note by Coliseu dos Recreios, the new album “presents the inspiration, spirit and power of the music of the island of Caribe”. The “exotic sounds” of The Temple of I and I feature the voice of Jamaican Racquel Jones, the note adds.
The Washington duo Rob Garza and Eric Hilton is “known by the fusion of several influences and styles in their songs, such as dub, reggae, jazz or bossa nova,” and for “bringing on state unique and contagious performances,” Coliseu dos Recreios says.
