The short-feature film 4242, by 16-year-old Sara Eustáquio, has received the merit award, at the IndieFest Film Awards, Los Angeles, USA. It’s already the film’s third international distinction.

The film had already received a special mention of merit by the jury in the BestShorts Competition, also in California, as well as the revelation award at Festival Near Nazareth, in Israel. Inspired by the experience of the protagonist, the Romanian student Cristina Caldaru, 18 years old, the film tells the story the youngster who is residing in Portugal since 2015, away from her family, to finish high-school.

In the end of this month, 4242 will be shown for the first time in Portugal at Faro’s short-feature film festival FARCUME.
