Writer Frederico Lourenço and philosopher António de Castro Caeiro are the featured guests for the first Obra Aberta (Open Work, in a free translation to English), taking place tomorrow, January 12, 6 pm. This is a literary programme recorded live at Belém Cultural Centre, Lisbon, in partnership with radio broadcaster Renascença.

Every two weeks, a writer and a reader will be invited to discuss about books and the recommended works. “During one hour, guests open books, choose characters and talk about the writers they like,” the organisers mention, in a note sent to the media. The programme is presented by reporters João Paulo Cotrim and Maria João Costa.

The sessions are to take place at Belem Cultural Centre, every thursday, once every two weeks, from 6 pm to 7 pm, until December 21. The second session takes place on January 26, and features António Mega Ferreira and João Queiroz. Admission is free.
