The second edition of Classical Summer — Lisbon International Music Academy will take place from July 30 to August 6, at the Belém Cultural Centre (CCB, in the Portuguese acronym), in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a chamber music festival, conceived by piano player Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro.

This edition features teachers from international teaching institutions, as well as musicians from different orchestras, namely the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam.
The festival will host concerts every day, including “three MasterFest concerts, with the presence of the teachers who will direct the Academy’s master classes, who are major world references on their respective instruments; four TalentFest concerts, with free admission, where the young musicians and participants in the Academy will present themselves; and the Closing Concert, Classical Summer 2016 Awards, with the announcement and participation of the musicians receiving awards from the Academy in the different instrumental categories and chamber music,” according to a note published on CCB’s website.
