The Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra is dedicating the last week of this month and the first week of June to the musical instruments contrabass and cello.
Under the guidance of Paulo Gaia Lima and Marc Ramirez, teachers at the Lisbon Metropolitan Academy, and with many invited guests, there will be masterclasses, talks and recitals.
In addition, there will also be a concert of the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra under the musical direction of conductor Pedro Neves, who is also a cello player, taking place on May 28, at Teatro Thalia, at 9 pm. The concert will include pieces by Vivaldi, John Harbison and Schostakovich.
