The Mouraria Creative Hub (CIM, in the Portuguese acronym) is hosting a talk today, Tuesday, May 3, at 4 pm, on the future of creative industries in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

The meeting — Get Together of Creative Hubs in Lisbon — will gather representatives from several of the city’s creative venues. The aim is to address questions including the launching of a network of creative hubs in Lisbon, as well as to discuss the main challenges in the sector.

The event is part of CIM’s Open Day, which will also include a session on Design Thinking, at 10 am, and a showcase of creative projects by several entrepreneurs, to be held between 2 pm and 8 pm.

CIM, which is under Lisbon’s City Council, supports “projects and business ideas from the creative industries, especially in the areas of design, fashion, music, tiles, jewellery, among others,” according to its official website. It also offers “fully equipped workstations, a wide network of mentors, training and consulting solutions, access to financing solutions and support in marketing products and services”.
