The eighth edition of the Portuguese Language Film Festival (FESTin) is taking place in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, until March 8.

Sessions are being held at São Jorge Cinema and Cervantes Institute. The programme of the film festival features a series of films from nine Portuguese-speaking countries – Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.

This year, part of FESTin is included in the programme f Lisbon – Ibero-American Capital of Culture 2017, an event that ends on March 8, International Women’s Day. The programme of the film festival includes activities, including roundtables and special film screenings series, which analyse the role of women in the audio-visual sector.
