Former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will be giving a talk on Neoliberalism, Inequality, Democracy Under Attack today, March 15, at 6.30 pm, at Teatro da Trindade, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

The event marks the opening of the Trindade Conferences Cycle, according to a press release by Fundação José Saramago, which is one of the organisers.

Ms Rousseff was impeached by the Brazilian senate due to an alleged “crime of responsibility,” less than two years after being reelected as President of the country. According to the press release, “during the last few months, [Ms Rousseff] has been travelling the world to denounce what she claims to be ‘an assault to democracy'”.
