Good morning, Athens! Festival (Festival Bom dia, Atenas!, in Portuguese) is a new theatre festival in Lisbon due to be held between November 29 and December 11, at Maria Matos and São Luiz municipal theatres.

“Athens is not only a city where, due to the strength of events, new forms of democracy and solidarity are experienced; it is also a place of extraordinary artistic strength, boosted by a new generation of artists,” the São Luiz municipal theatre says in a press release.

The programme includes PRIVATE: Wear a Mask When You Talk To Me, by Alexandra Bachzetsis, The Institute of Global Solitude and 6 a.m. How to Disappear Completely, both by Blitz Theatre Group, Domino, by Vasistas, and Clean City, by Anestis Azas e Prodromos Tsinikoris.

The programme also includes a debate called Theatre in the Time of Cholera, in which Portuguese and Greek artists are due to discuss the influence of crisis in their creative process.
