A total of 31 ideas for Lisbon has been submitted to the City Council under the programme LisBOAideia, which is part of the initiative Lisboa Participa, aimed at involving citizens in decisions regarding their city.

According to the official website of the initiative, ideas submitted have raised 23 comments and 670 likes so far. Among the ideas presented by Lisbon’s citizens are projects for growing vegetables on rooftops of public buildings, illuminating a monument’s façade or launching a website about the city’s trees.

Each idea will be published at the initiative’s website and left open for public debate and comments, according to the organisers. Ideas should fit one of 13 thematic areas, including culture, education, social rights or green structures. Detailed rules can be found here.
