The International Art Film Festival starts on February 16 and goes until February 19, at Galeria Zé dos Bois, in Bairro Alto, Lisbon.  It features 18 films about art, including the documentary about the Chinese painter Mio Pang Fei, made in Macau, by Portuguese Pedro Cardeira.

The festival opens at 6 pm with the Polish documentary Kantor’s Circle, by Adrianna and Iwo Ksiazek. It is about a group of youngsters who made clandestine art, when the city Krakow was occupied by the Germans, during Second World War.

One of the five Portuguese films to be screened is Loose Ends, by Ricardo Oliveira. It is a documentary about the recording of the last album of the Portuguese rock band, Capitão Fausto. It will screen on February 17, 6 pm.
