The exhibition VOID: Júlio Pomar e Julião Sarmento will open next Thursday, October 27, at Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, in Lisbon.
According to a press release by the atelier, the two artists will explore the concept of “void” through a series of paintings and drawings.
Julião Sarmento will be showing a number of art works on canvas and on paper, “with several literary references”. Júlio Pomar will be exhibiting paintings and drawings made in the 1960s, on the Paris subway, as well as drawings of different natural elements, according to the note.
The exhibition is curated by Sara Antónia Matos. It follows an exhibition programme set by the atelier, which every year aims to cross Júlio Pomar’s work with that of other artists.
The exhibition will be held until January 29, 2017. More information can be found here.
