Lisbon From The Inside (Lisboa Por Dentro, in Portuguese) is the name of a cultural programme that invites the community to get in some places of the city that are less known by or accessible to the public.
The programme is an initiative from municipal cultural company EGEAC. It is on until April 8.
The programme includes, for instance, a community dance show called Ciranda, to be staged at the Santa Clara Market on March 12 and 19. It also features theatre plays, literature events, music and several guided tours to “improbable places,” as it is said in EGEAC’s official website.
According to Portuguese newspaper Diário de Notícias, the name of the initiative refers to indoor places — due to the weather conditions around this time in Lisbon — but also to a more intimate programme.
The detailed programme can be seen here.
