A new media, post internet art and internet of things’ festival titled The New Art Fest’16 is to take place between November 3 and 10, in the capital city of Portugal. It features different artistic projects made by portuguese and overseas artists, who are developing their work starting from science and technology.
Organised by Occupart, this festival features interactive installations, audiovisual projections, and exhibitions of augmented reality and generative art, like glitch and live coding. During eight days, artists like Leonel Moura, Margarida Sardinha, Hugo Madureira, Carlos Noronha Feio, João Bacelar, Miguel Palma, Alexandra Cárdenas or Ryan Kirkbride, are occupying venues like the National Museum of Natural History and the Time Out Market Lisboa.
Apart from the live coding event, all other events are free.
