An exhibition titled Mário Cesariny: de Cor e Salteado (Mário Cesariny: By Heart, in English) will open on March 7 and will last until April 17, at Belém Cultural Centre (CCB, in the Portuguese acronym), Lisbon. It will feature more than 30 works by the main representative of the Portuguese surrealism period.

The exhibition is organised by CCB in collaboration with Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, which owns an important collection of art, dating from the Portuguese surrealism period.

Mário Cesariny was a poet and a painter, but also had work as an anthologist and a polemic historian of the surrealist activities in Portugal.
