The fifth edition of Festival Grant’s True Tales — which this year is presented as Grant’s Stand Together — will be held in Lisbon’s Cinema São Jorge, from April 14 to 16. According to Agenda Cultural de Lisboa’s website, the initiative is the largest storytelling event in Portugal.

Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida is the host of the festival once again. Storytellers participating in this year’s edition include Ana Galvão, Carlão, Fernanda Serrano, Gisela João, Inês Castel-Branco, João Quadros, José Avillez, Marisa Liz, Nuno Gama, Pedro Ribeiro, Pedro Tochas and Vasco Palmeirim.

Agenda Cultural de Lisboa also highlights the performance by Tiago Bettencourt and Márcia, in Concerto com Histórias (Concert with Stories, in English), as well as Get together em minha Casa (Get together at my place, in English), in which two friends, Capicua and Beatriz Costa, share their stories.

The programme also includes Maratona #IOU — presented by Fernando Alvim — in which the audience is invited onto the stage to share life stories.

The festival also includes film sessions, as well as talks. DJs like Benjamin, Inês Meneses, Pedro Ramos or Zé Pedro will share their preferences in Friends will be Friends.

Part of the revenues gathered from the festival will be given to Casa do Artista.
