The last family tour featuring leisure and educational activities in the S.Jorge Castle, in the capital city of Portugal, takes place this Sunday, August 28, at 11 am. This was an initiative organised every Sunday that started on July 3 and is now reaching the end.

Since it started there were six Sunday visits to S. Jorge Castle under different themes, including: Family Games; Lisbon Outside the County; XV Century — Time for Women — Women of its Time; XIII century — Portugal’s and Algarve’s Kingdom.

On August 28, the theme will be Family Tours. “It’s an exploration visit of the castle and the archeological site, the discovery of spaces, of characters and of stories, which aims at stimulating and deepen the sensibility and the respect for the historical heritage as a cultural value, through knowledge and comprehension of the trace elements of the past,” Lisbon’s City Council explains.
