The exhibition Tutankamon — Tesouros do Egipto (Tutankamon — Treasures from Egypt, in English) will be held from Saturday, January 21, to May 1, at Portugal’s Pavilion, in Parque das Nações, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
The exhibition offers a recreation of the ancient Pharaoh’s tomb and his treasures, as they were discovered by Howard Carter, in 1922.
The showcase includes more than 100 reproductions of some of the treasures found by Mr Carter, all of which produced in Egypt following the techniques used by the artisans thousands of years ago, the organisers explain.
The exhibition recreates the three rooms discovered by the archeologist, and includes the screening of a documentary about the discovery. The showcase also features original black-and-white photographs, in high scale.
