1HD, or Uma História da Dança (A History of Dance, in English), is a multimedia show aimed at children, and will open at Teatro Camões, in Lisbon, on Saturday, January 28.

According to the website Agenda Cultural LX — an iniciative by the Lisbon City Council — the show, choreographed and directed by Bruno Cochat, presents a journey throughout the history of dance.

Interpreted by artists from Portugal’s bales companhia Companhia Nacional de Bailado, Ruben Saints and students from Escola A Voz do Operário, the show features a group of children that read a book from the end to the begining, hoping to find the answer to the question “Why do people dance?”, according to Agenda Cultural LX.

1HD will be staged on Saturday January 28, February 4, March 11, April 8, May 27, and June 3, at 4 pm.
