Carmen, a dance adaptation of George Bizet’s masterpiece by National Dance Company of Spain, will be presented on November 4, at the Macao Cultural Centre (CCM, in the Portuguese acronym).

Carmen’s original plot revolves around a love triangle composed by Don José, the main prison guard, Carmen and the Toreador. In Johan Inger’s version, Carmen is a “sober, contemporary version choreographed with a subtle proximity with the 1960’s.”
