The Room of 50/21

Director: Panda Chan

Che In Lei is a Chinese ink master. Having grown in a traditional family, her father believed that art would ruin her life. The artist would only follow the dream of picking up the brush at the age of 50, with the support of her husband, after her father passed away.

Macao, Time of Bamboo

Director: Catarina Cortesão Terra

The documentary aims to depict the past (memory) and present (identity) times of Macau’s intangible heritage of bamboo scaffolding. Mirroring the dramatic shift of the city’s urbanscape at the turn of the 21st century, the bamboo legacy has been fading away gradually, dragging along with it the declining masters of an ancient tradition.
