Every three months mART invites a group of artists from Macau and Lisbon to showcase their talent in our online gallery, by creating an art piece inspired on a topic provided by us.
Sun is our third edition’s theme.
Sunset Party conveys the tragedy of the fires which devastate Portugal’s landscape every year — sun and fire, death and ashes. This is a co-production between Companhia da Chanca and Filmes da Vila — based in a rural area, these two companies reflect and work closely with the community.
André Louro (Portugal) – Actor and Musician
He did his training in Lisbon Theatre and Film School and the School of Theatre Lassaad, in Brussels. In 2015, he co-founded with Catarina Santana the Companhia da Chanca, based in Penela, where he develops work in theatre and music.
Pedro Homem (Portugal) – Director and Producer
He has a bachelor degree in Editing, completed in the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. In 2011, he created Filmes da Vila and, since then, he has directed and produced several institutional films as well as documentaries. More recently, and together with other producers, he has re-shifted Filmes da Vila’s focus towards the production of independent films.
Note: The artists have authorised mART to publish this work.
